or joined a a gym and did a ton of cardio, only to stop seeing results after 2 or 3 weeks...
or heard that strength training is good for weight loss but don’t know what exercises to do and frankly, find the whole idea intimidating...
BUT you still imagine that day when you can go into your closet and pick out any outfit to wear, knowing it fits like it was custom-made for you and drapes just right...
then you probably already know that the easiest way to achieve lasting weight loss and get in shape is to create healthy lifestyle habits.
No need to be a broken record and convince you of something that’s already been drilled deep into your mind.
After all, you probably already KNOW that a healthy lifestyle can reduce the odds of developing heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
Maybe in addition to losing weight, you also want to lower your blood pressure, prevent depression and osteoporosis.
When it comes to control, we get to decide what is most important and choose what we do each day to care of ourselves. On the other hand, we have little to no control over outcomes, and we can get ourselves in trouble when we try.
Here's a perfect example. Athletes prepare for a match or game by training every day, honing their skills and developing a growth mindset. That's what they have direct control over, not whether they win or lose. By focusing on behavior, we learn to trust the process and the action plan we've put in place to deliver the outcomes we want.
Let's say you want to eat healthier. This means that instead fighting an old habit of eating highly processed, high calorie, refined foods right before going to bed at night, we're going to employ the "crowd out" strategy and concentrate on eating MORE nutrient-dense foods that have lots of vitamins and minerals to fuel your beautiful body at dinner.
If the focus is on exercise, rather than thinking about losing unwanted fat, let's keep the focus on moving more and regaining lost muscle so you can climb a few flights of stairs without getting winded and you can put your pants on one leg at a time without holding onto something to keep your balance.
When you're in a state of scarcity, you are occupied by self-limiting beliefs, thoughts like there's not enough time, I don't know enough, all or nothing rules, and deprivation of the things you want both real and perceived.
On the other hand, when you're in a state of abundance, you see your choices on a continuum, you ask better questions, you believe that you can achieve the results you want and you take action consistently.

"Looking back, I was at a point where I was ALMOST going to give up. I had tried so many different things when I finally decided to give this program a try. I'm so glad I did. I've developed a sense of self-care which has impacted ALL parts of my life in amazing ways. My marriage… career… everything."
"Pacific Heights Health Cub changed my life 2 years ago!! With exercise and eating healthier, I feel stronger and have much more energy. Currently I’m walking about 8 miles everyday while on vacation. I wouldn’t have that kind of energy if I wasn’t fit."
"Hi, I'm Amy Lang. That's me with my best friend and partner, Matt, in Mexico this past Thanksgiving.
As the owner and chief motivating officer of Pacific Heights Health Club since 2004, and armed with an MBA from the Deming Scholars Program, my team and I have worked with hundreds and hundreds of clients over the past 15 years.
I'm also a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, so I know a thing or two about what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to motivation and creating healthy habits.
As you can see, we love our community and our clients are pretty darn happy with their results.
And what they're even happier about is how much better they feel, how much more energy they have and how much stronger they are now.
Join us for 30 days and finally create that lifestyle groove you've always wanted to improve your health, fitness and happiness.
The Momentum Challenge is the ONLY program of its kind that uses the FLO Coaching Method which…

2. Focuses on the joy of eating.
3. Makes creating new habits fun!
4. Has a built-in community to support you.
5. Keeps you on track by gently but firmly holding you accountable.

Players earn up to 10 POINTS per day for taking action in each of the following HABIT categories: nutrition, movement, hydration, sleep and well-being.
Because we know how real life works, we're all about the continuum to avoid the "all or nothing" thinking trap. Each day, players get points for taking action in each of the following habit categories: nutrition, movement, hydration, sleep and well-being.
Scores are recorded on our secure Challenge website, keeping you on track and accountable for your results.

Each habit is worth up to 10 points per day upon completion. Because we're about the continuum to avoid the "all or nothing" thinking trap, all scores are 1 to 10 points and awarded for completion. Scores are recorded on the Momentum website, keeping players on track and accountable for their results. Recording your score on the website automatically earns a player 5 points per day or 1 point per category.
Best possible score is 50 per day.
Best possible score is 500 per week, with a bonus of 150 points awarded to players who accumulate 350 points at the end of each week (ending on Sunday).
The perfect score for our 30-Day Momentum Challenge is 2,100 points.

Measuring results is a key part of the Momentum experience. Throughout the Challenge, you will track your daily score over time and complete a before and after Self-Assessment to track changes to your quality of life, physical health and workout goals.
The most important thing you need is...YOU.
During the Breakthrough Mindset coaching Series, we'll strategically lay out your action plan, identify your why and create the abundance mindset that's been missing.
Our Joyful Eating approach gives you a simplified approach to eating nutritious meals that fit your lifestyle.
Remember, YOU are ALREADY Awesome. It's true - even if you don't feel that way right now. Sometimes it just takes a little sweat, support, and a LOT of fun to make you FEEL that way!
Similar to one-on-one personal training, our small group training sessions are led by nationally certified personal trainers and Pilates instructors, and typically have 3-4 clients with a max of 5. Unlike fitness classes led by an instructor, the fitness program for each of your workouts is designed to meet your specific individual health and fitness goals.
Support and Accountability. With small groups, you get the added benefit of motivation from both your peers and the trainer. In classes, the group of “regulars” that attend creates some accountability, but it is more easily broken compared to that of working with a trainer and a few others in a small group who quickly become friends.
Fun! There is more energy in a group setting, camaraderie and even a little bit of good, old-fashioned competition. It’s just human nature that if the person next to you is giving an all out effort, you are more likely to do the same. Just this past week, I watched as one member of the group asked others to join him in taking a Pilates Fusion class the followed a training session, and then there were three!
Personalized. In a group fitness class, the teacher instructs and the students follow. It's basically choreographed so that the entire group more or less is doing the same thing. On the other hand, in a more intimate small group session, clients will often be performing different exercises together at their own rate of speed, intensity, and ability because the workouts are tailored for their personal goals and fitness level.
Challenge and Progression. Unlike classes, with our small group format, we always know about the client's health history and are able to provide proper modifications to work around injuries and joint issues whether permanent or temporary. In regards to your fitness program, our trainers and instructors will continue to challenge you in areas where there may be weaknesses and they can provide proper and challenging programs (it may be that no two workouts will be the same) to make sure that you are constantly progressing and improving.
Affordable. The cost associated with private personal training and Pilates is often a factor. The national average is $50-85 per hour, where rates of $120-180 per hour are fairly common here in San Francisco. Our small group sessions are just $35-60 for 30 minutes versus an hour, which allows for the frequency needed to make a difference. It also makes working with us very time efficient.
We have extensive experience working with clients that are recovering from and rehabbing injuries, especially for the knees, shoulders and hips. We will modify exercises so you can perform them safely.
The Momentum Challenge is for people of all ages, fitness levels, and body types.
If you're signing up for the Club Version, our wonderful expert trainers will walk you through everything you need to know during the small group training and Pilates sessions.
Plus, we can always modify an exercise so you can focus on proper form and go at your own pace.we have modifications for every exercise and we can scale the workouts to your fitness level.
