DAY 10  |  FOCUS

States of Abundance

 

Today is about being thankful for our ability to choose what thoughts we focus on and how we respond to life's situations.

Practicing gratitude is but one way to focus our thoughts and put ourselves in a state of abundance.  There are many many more.

We can also focus on looking for solutions with the belief that we can "figure it out" - whatever "it" may be.

So the next time you catch yourself worrying about the outcome, fearing what may happen or doubting your own abilities with "What If" and "Why Can't I" questions, try reframing using the following:

  • "I'm thinking __________________, and that's okay.  Just because it's a thought does not make it true."
  • For certain foods that you want to avoid eating, "It's not that I can't __________________, it's that I choose not to because I know I feel better when I don't."
  • "I keep asking ________________, but what would be a better question right now?"

Every day for the last 10 days, I sent you a daily email to help you create new healthy habits to move more, calm and focus your mind, stay hydrated, nourish your body and connect with others.  

Did you find one you like?  Create a version of your own?  My hope is that you've discovered some new ways for building healthy habits.

KEEP GOING!  I encourage you to keep going.  Remember, this is about creating a habit.  Of course, you are welcome to take it up a notch or add another habit when the one you've been focused on becomes second nature.
