By adding a new habit to your current daily routine, here's an easy way to drink more water and stay better hydrated.
Use your daily coffee or tea habit as a daily opportunity to drink more water, the essence of life. As you grab your mug from the cupboard, take out a separate glass or mug and fill it with water (cold or hot, whatever your preference).
Now take a few sips of water and think about how thankful you are for having easy access to clean water. Then think about how much you enjoy the ability to move your body, blink your eyes, maintain your body temperature and breath because of this wonderful liquid.
Try cleansing your palette by taking a sip of water before or between each sip of coffee or tea. Before you know it, you'll have added a whole glass of water to your daily consumption.
And what's amazing is that after a while, your body will actually crave it, making it really easy to follow through.
