How To Stick To Your New Year's Resolution

Apparently, January 17th is known as "Ditch Your New Year's Resolution Day" when most folks give up on their New Year’s Resolutions.

So how are you doing with yours?

In my 90-Day Roadmap, I reviewed the 3 stages of habit forming (starts at 40:36 of the replay). Guess what? Friday essentially marked the end of Phase 1 - The Excitement Phase - for many people.

Yes, Phase 1 is when everything is shiny and new, filled with hope and aspiration.

But after 2-3 weeks, the newness has faded and so, too, the motivation for so many.

For those who have decided to keep going, you are entering Phase 2 - The Intentional Phase. You have most likely created a detailed plan that accounts for your daily life.

When you’re feeling like you're about to give up, let’s pause instead and look at your plan. Did you figure out your why? Did you create milestone goals? Create any Plan Bs for your busy days?
