What We Can And Can't Control During a Crisis

Mar 14, 2020

I want to take a moment to acknowledge the feelings swirling around the global pandemic, COVID-19. And I wanted to share some perspective on how we're responding to this moment in this business and for the broader community we are so honored to serve.

First, I want to recognize our shared truth: It’s a stressful time. There’s a lot of uncertainty. There’s clearly loss. There’s fear and concern for our loved ones and about the future.

I also want to share a hopeful point of view: that even in times of adversity, we can find calm by focusing on the things we can control and relief in letting go of what we can’t.

Timing is never good for a crisis. We happen to be in the middle of planning a big promotion for Worth The Wait.  I am not going to cancel that promotion out of a devotion to our mission: to help you live the life you want. But I am going to scale back our marketing efforts. If you were considering enrolling but no longer feel that now is the right time, I completely respect that. Contact me later, at any time, and I’ll honor the promotion for you.

I've also started a private Facebook Group: Moxie Club Meetup. It's completely free. Connection and community are vitally important for our well being so let's support each other so we will emerge on the other side of this stronger than ever. Click here to join the group.

And Remember... Here's What You Can Do

The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is to:
  • Wash your hands with soap and water (frequently)
  • Wipe down surfaces with disinfectant including your phone
  • Do your best to avoid touching the T-Zone of your face (eyes, nose and mouth).
And for a strong immune system, it's also important to:
  • Get enough sleep (7-9 hours every night)
  • Manage your stress
  • Stay hydrated
  • Exercise regularly
  • Eat nutritious foods that have lots of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

So remember to breathe, take a break from the news, go for a walk outdoors, get a good workout in, watch a few Netflix comedies and remember that we are in this together.
